17 March 2025 – Press Release Arthur Rogeon, 2025 season preview
Michelin Le Mans Cup LMP3 and European Endurance Prototype Cup
After two seasons learning motorsport in single-seaters marked by 7 podiums including 3 victories in the British GB3 series, Arthur Rogeon is ready to take the step towards Endurance, a fast-growing discipline, whose level is increasingly high and which calls upon a very wide range of driver skills. In 2025, the 18-year-old from Mayenne will compete in two championships in 2025: the Michelin Le Mans Cup, the base of the Endurance pyramid which leads to the FIA WEC and the 24 Hours of Le Mans, at the wheel of a Duqueine D09 in the premier LMP3 category; and the European Endurance Prototype Cup, a single-make series pitting Nova Proto NP02s against each other. This double program will be run with the help of the CD Sport team, eager to add new titles to its great collection. Nothing but “made in France” to conquer the international scene!
CD Sport has just returned from Barcelona where it carried out tests with the two cars that Arthur will drive in 2025, in order to perfect the setups before getting down to brass tacks at the end of March with the Nova, then at the beginning of April with the Duqueine. Arthur spent a very enriching week on the Catalan circuit in the company of his new teammates.
Michelin Le Mans Cup: Their sights on victory
The 2025 season will be marked by the arrival of a new generation of chassis and a 470-hp 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6 engine in the championship. Arthur and his 22-year-old team-mate, Thomas Imbourg, gave CD Sport’s new Duqueine its maiden outing after driving a development version earlier in the year.
“I’m starting to get really used to the car,” says the driver from Laval. “There are more things to manage compared to a single-seater, more buttons on the steering wheel and nearby, as well as procedures to master for driver changes. It’s difficult to predict where we’ll be among the 20 LMP3 entries because, while we know the teams that will be present, not all the drivers have been announced. But we know that the Duqueine will be performant, and the manufacturer will provide us with technical support, as was already the case during testing. I’ve joined a very experienced team that has already won races and championships in the discipline. What’s clear is that every time we get in the car, it’ll be to win!”
Of course, the blue riband event of the season will be the Road to Le Mans, which will comprise two one-hour races as a curtain-raiser to the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The standard format for the other races is two hours (1 hour 50 minutes at Silverstone).
European Endurance Prototype Cup: additional experience
The second part of Arthur’s double-header programme will see him share a Nova Proto NP02 with Chris Short and Rob Greenwood, two British drivers. This championship comprises five 4-hour races and one 6-hour race. “I’ll be able to rack up more mileage in a car with a performance equivalent to the LMP3, but also do longer stints, more pit stops, and work on more fuel and tyre strategies. This will be beneficial for my overall skills and my progression in the endurance sector.”
To finish, we’ll let Jean-Noël Le Gall, the CD Sport technical director, give us his opinion on his new rookie: “Arthur made a brilliant start to his career in single-seaters and we’re happy to be the first to give him his first outings in endurance racing, as we have done in the past with drivers who have since turned professional. He has already shown his speed and dedicated approach during the tests and all signs indicate that the crew of our no. 30 Duqueine will be able to play the leading roles in the Michelin Le Mans Cup. We are also specialists in the Nova Proto (runner-up Teams European Endurance Prototype Cup 2024 Editor’s note), so Arthur will have all the right cards in hand during the twelve meetings he will participate in with us in 2025.”
Arthur warmly thanks the many partners who have agreed to support his new challenge!
