2 September 2025 – Press Release Arthur Rogeon
Michelin Le Mans Cup LMP3, round 6, Spa-Francorchamps, 22-23 August 2025
Arthur Rogeon hasn’t been spared on his transition from single-seaters to LMP3 prototype, to say the least! But today, two weeks before the penultimate round of the Michelin Le Mans Cup, he knows that the lights are starting to turn green. His Duqueine run by the CD Sport team is performing well and it has just received a new Toyota engine. He forms a competitive duo with his teammate Thomas Imbourg and is preparing to return to the Silverstone circuit where he scored a victory in GB3 during the summer of 2024!
The start of the season didn’t offer the young driver from Laval many opportunities to showcase his speed. After a positive start in Barcelona, which saw him score his first points, a crash due to a change in grip at Paul Ricard forced him to wear a brace for five weeks. His return – at the last minute – for the big Road to Le Mans event was disrupted right from the start as frequent and interminable neutralisations in practice and qualy prevented the drivers of the #30 Duqueine from demonstrating its potential. And to cap it all, an engine not delivering its full power blew up in spectacular fashion while Arthur was fighting at the front at Spa-Francorchamps!
A triple winner in GB3 last year, Arthur wants to put these disappointments behind him and is looking ahead to the last two races with confidence. “We have to move forward. At Spa-Francorchamps, the team managed to do a good job on the chassis. I think we had an excellent car, but we couldn’t really prove it because our engine was holding us back on the straights. At Spa, I made a very good start and gained two places by taking the inside line at the La Source hairpin and emerging in 5th place. I was able to fight for two laps before we retired, and I saw that I easily made up in the technical sections the ground I lost in the full throttle phases. But at Silverstone, with a new engine, we’ll be able to fight on equal terms and I’m optimistic. Especially as I probably know the circuit better than most because the Michelin Le Mans Cup will be there for the first time. I like the track and I’ve had some great experiences on it. The team won’t be starting from scratch either, as we were able to test there this summer.”
And yet… between Spa and Silverstone, the timing was tight to get the #30 back in shape! “Not only did we have to install a new powerplant, but we also had to completely dismantle the car because of a fire that started when the engine blew up, as well as the on-board fire extinguisher being triggered damaged many components. The team got the job done, and now it’s up to us drivers to do the same at Silverstone!”
The British round of the Michelin Le Mans Cup will take place on September 12 and 13. But before that, Arthur will be back in the European Endurance Prototype Cup and the Nova Proto NP02 at Motorland this coming weekend!
