29 February 2024 – Press release Arthur Rogeon – GB3 Championship, 2024 season preview
In 2024, a young French driver will experience a new turning point in his career. After his debut in single-seaters a year ago in the GB3 Championship, the time has come for Arthur Rogeon to confirm his potential with a top-flight team! He has just joined the Rodin Motorsport outfit, the reigning GB3 champion renowned for its ability to help young talents to blossom! Achieving excellent results will therefore be more than just an objective for the driver from Laval who will be able to capitalise on the promise shown – and the three podiums scored! – during his learning season on the GB3 circuits.
To get to this point, the first part of the reflection focused on an in-depth analysis of the past year. The outcome was that a second season in this championship, heir to the legendary British Formula 3 Series, could be a risk well worth taking, provided it was with a team capable of aiming for the title. Rodin Motorsport, formerly Rodin Carlin, was part of the shortlist thanks to the GB3 Championship title it won last year added to those the team scored in 2017, 2019, 2020 and 2021! In addition, Rodin Motorsport based in Farnham, southwest of London, is present at all levels of the pyramid that leads to the pinnacle of single-seater racing, from British F4 to FIA F2!
Arthur then carried out tests at Spa-Francorchamps and Silverstone with Rodin Motorsport. After that it was time for discussions, which bore fruit since Arthur began a serious test program at the beginning of February to prepare for his 2024 campaign with his new team in the best possible conditions.
“At Rodin Motorsport, they believe in my potential to fight for victory,” said Arthur. “There’s always a little pressure when tackling such a challenge, but no stress. I’m going to have a winning car so it’s up to me to do my best to make it happen. I know what has to be done; you have to be impeccable in all areas: the speed on the track, the work between sessions, the physical fitness and simulator preparation. In short, I will stack all the odds in my favour to compete at the front because that too is what will help me progress.”
Rodin Motorsport’s GB3 Team Manager Ricky Taylor said, “Arthur has already shown brilliant potential in the GB3 car and we are looking forward to seeing how he develops with us this year. We believe he is in a brilliant position, knowing a lot of the tracks and the car from 2023 will help him take that next step and eye up race wins. I look forward to working with him this season.”
Concerning the calendar, the GB3 Championship will include one more Formula 1 circuit in 2024, the Hungaroring near Budapest. The first meeting is fixed for the Easter weekend at Oulton Park, while Spa-Francorchamps, Silverstone, Zandvoort, Donington and Brands Hatch are also part of this mouthwatering programme. Good luck Arthur!
